Genesis Discover UEFA Futsal Champions League Opponents

Genesis Futsal Club has discovered its opponents for the UEFA Futsal Champions League Preliminary Round following Wednesday's official draw, marking another historic chapter in the club's journey.

After being crowned England National Futsal Champions for the 2025/26 season, Genesis will now proudly represent England in Europe's premier club futsal competition for the very first time.

The draw has placed Genesis in Group F, with all matches taking place in Greece, where Greek champions Doukas will act as tournament hosts.

The mini-tournament will be played between 26th and 29th August 2026, with each club playing three matches over four days in a round-robin format. The group winners will progress to the next stage of the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

For everyone connected with Genesis, this represents a landmark moment in the club's history. Since being established in 2002, Genesis has worked tirelessly to develop players, grow the game within the local community, and compete at the highest level of English futsal. Winning the National Futsal Series Grand Finals last season secured the club's first-ever qualification for European competition, and now the opportunity has become a reality.

Travelling to Greece to face champions from across Europe will provide invaluable experience for the players, coaching staff and everyone involved with the club. It is an opportunity to test ourselves against quality opposition, showcase English futsal on the European stage, and continue writing the next chapter in the Genesis story.

The club is also proud to represent not only England but the diverse communities of East London. Many of our players, academy members and supporters come from a wide range of backgrounds, and competing in the UEFA Futsal Champions League is a moment that everyone connected with Genesis can celebrate together.
